About the Tour
Awaken your curiosity with the mystery of our Dark Sky community for some of the best star gazing, only a short drive away. Experience the Milky Way with the naked eye seen so unmistakably you'll feel as if you're looking through the window of your space craft! Join us finding the constellations and the deep rooted connections we have with early humanity including the indigenous people of this area. The Hopi say they followed a star from Sedona to their now sacred lands. We explore their story of origin, which led to Sedona and a history unsurpassed because they are one of the oldest living civilizations on earth. The communion with the cosmos that they had and what one feels when viewing the night sky is a one of a kind connection. We then participate in an ancient ceremony commemorating the connection of all people under the stars. We will meet approx. one hour after sunset. Due to Arizona's dry air, high elevation, and minimal light pollution, we can view the stars better than most places on earth. For example, Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh with the Lowell Observatory in 1930 in nearby Flagstaff. Yes, with a little help from our perfect skys and an inborn love for searching the heavens, he discovered the last known satellite in our solar system. ** Tour requires minimum 2 bookings**
